This jalapeno popper dip takes the amazing, spicy, cheesy, and bacony flavor of poppers and turns them into a dip that’s about as cheesy as it gets and is completely addictive.
Cliff Notes:
Cook bacon until crisp; sauté onions and peppers until softened; combine with remaining dip ingredients and spoon into oven-proof dish; top with mixture of panko, cheese, and seasoning; bake at 350° for 20-30 minutes until golden brown and heated through.
Make It Your Own:
– Add more or less chopped jalapenos, depending on how spicy you like it.
– Mix in corn kernels for little bites of sweetness.
– Make it a day ahead, cover, and refrigerate. Add 5-10 minutes to the baking time.
In the fall and winter, Sundays in our home means football, and by royal edict, football food must be fun food! Acceptable meals include Frito Pie (with either chili or chopped brisket), Buffalo chicken wings or strips, and hot, cheesy dips with tortilla cheese.

There has never been a time when I’ve taken it to a pot luck and didn’t come home with a completely empty bowl and at least one request for the recipe.
